Downtown is fun when the weather is nice to walk from place to place. An outdoor shopping center typically has a bunch of restaurants in a small space. You could choose a theme for your date night such as new eateries, hole-in-the-wall dives (this was one was really fun!), fine dining, or select a specific ethnic cuisine. We even drove to different city once and did our progressive dinner there.
